A short video series to pass on the joy of knitting
With the current uncertainty in the world right now and while we are all at home, I thought I’d put together a series of videos to pass on the basics of knitting. The course is beginner friendly, aimed at both children and adults, so whatever age you are and whatever your ‘staying in’ looks like, I hope this will bring some happiness and ultimately pass on the joy of knitting with all its benefits.
We’ll be working through my Tassel Bunting knitting pattern, a good beginner project to learn the basics through
Knitting needles in size 4mm / US 6 or if those have sold out, try these from Amazon.
100g DK weight wool. You will need about 10g per triangle and 4g per tassel. Willow and Lark and Debbie Bliss have lots of shades to choose from.

Scissors
Wooden beads (optional)
And finally my Tassel Bunting Knitting Pattern which you can download for free while the course is running. Pop your email in the box below and I will send the download link straight to your inbox.
And that’s it! Once you’ve gathered up the bits you need, head straight to the video tutorials to get started.
I’ll be posting the tutorials on my IGTV or you can find all the videos below. Enjoy!
Firstly, knitting is good for your brain, it’s an activity that uses both sides of the brain; the right side for creativity and the left for logic and activities like this are really good for you.
Secondly, it’s great for your mental health, it helps you focus on something in the moment and once you get going it’s really relaxing.
Finally, it’s fulfilling as you turn a simple ball of wool into something you feel proud of.
